Ishani<\/a> here. Did you check my last post<\/a> of 3 floral cards with the You\u2019re in my thoughts stamp set<\/a><\/strong>  and the Video tutorial<\/strong><\/a> ? Today I have some more floral card ideas which you can try with any of your floral stamps. But for my cards I am using the same stamp that has been recently launched You\u2019re in my thoughts<\/a><\/strong> . We are playing with theme – feminine<\/a> for this month’s challenge and I thought florals perfectly represent, everything feminine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These floral cards also use some techniques which can be used with any floral stamp<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ghost Stamping<\/strong> and Water Painting<\/strong> florals<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first card<\/strong>, I used Distress oxides in Peacock feathers and Cracked Pistachio and blended on Dual texture cardstock with Blending brushes. Then after the ink was dry I stamped the flower with Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. Then I applied some water on the stamp with a brush and stamped twice behind my embossed flower that gives a ghost stamping effect but actually is just water stamping. You can try this with any water reactive inks. Distress Oxides give a very good result. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then I took water brush and removed color from the inside of my flowers and stamped a sentiment and white heat embossed it. I diecut my ink blended cardstock and adhered on top folding dual texture white notecard with foam tape.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selective stamping<\/strong> and loose coloring<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second card <\/strong>is an easy watercolour technique with some selective stamping of the floral images at two corners. I stamped my images on Strathmore Bristol card stock with water proof ink – Archival jet black and did some loose watercoloring with tombow markers and water. For some more texture I added splatters of CrafTangles watercolors in poolside and goldust that were left on my palette from the previous project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ink blending and fussy cutting<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0third card<\/strong>\u00a0is the quickest and the simplest of the three, using just stamping, minimal coloring and ink blending. I staterted with blending Distress oxides in Spun Sugar and Worn lipstick on Dual texture cardstock. I sprinkled some water to lift off the ink for a dewy background. Then I stamped the flowers on white cardstock and just colored a little with grey color marker, for some depths. I fussy cut the flowers and arranged on my ink blended panel and adhered with glue. I stamped the sentiment from the same set and added Gem drops in clear Quartz to imitate dew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
