I&#8217;ll be showing you different variations on the split card in my post.&nbsp; Thank you cards are always very useful at this time of year as school is coming to an end and as well as teachers I have many people to thank on behalf of my children.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/VRMain.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"1125\" data-original-width=\"1228\" height=\"586\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/VRMain.jpg\" width=\"640\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p>\n<a name='more'><\/a>I think split cards were one of the first style of cards I mastered and then I thought of different positions to add the split on the card which I am sharing with you today.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/VRHSplit.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"1125\" data-original-width=\"854\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/VRHSplit.jpg\" width=\"484\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\nThe first card is the traditional split card where you cut out part of the paper from the middle of your card.&nbsp; You stick the top part and bottom part back and in this instance I have added a contrasting colour to the middle of the card and stuck another piece through it.&nbsp; The sentiment is die cut and to finish I have added glitter drops around the butterfly.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/VRSIdeSplit.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"1125\" data-original-width=\"928\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/VRSIdeSplit.jpg\" width=\"526\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>Next up, I&#8217;ve used the same principle as my first card but made the split slimmer and and more to one side.&nbsp; Again, I&#8217;ve added contrasting colour card to the split together with a doily.&nbsp; The centre is another piece from the paper pad that I&#8217;ve backed on green and added a die cut sentiment.&nbsp; To finish I&#8217;ve added some vintage drops.<\/p>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/VRDiagSplit.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"1125\" data-original-width=\"844\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/VRDiagSplit.jpg\" width=\"480\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\nFor my final card I have made the split diagonal.&nbsp; For those of you who follow my social media you will recognise the paper that I stamped the thanks on to customise my own paper.&nbsp; I fussy cut one of the flower arrangements from the papers and stuck it on the corner.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/VRDiagSplitCU.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"1125\" data-original-width=\"1046\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/VRDiagSplitCU.jpg\" width=\"594\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: left;\">\n<\/div>\n<p>To highlight the flowers further I went around them with a little ink and added nuvo crystal drops which give the impression of water droplets on the flowers.<\/p>\n<p>So there you have it &#8211;
