Lets get started ,<br \/>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<b>1. Creating colored Mixed media pastes<\/b><br \/>We can easily create custom colored mixed media pastes using these liquid watercolors. Being very concentrated we have to be very careful with the amount of color to be used.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Liquid_watercolor_MM_paste.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"681\" data-original-width=\"700\" height=\"620\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Liquid_watercolor_MM_paste.jpg\" width=\"640\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/div>\n<p><a name='more'><\/a><\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n I have mixed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hndmd.com\/art-supplies\/art-paints\/liquid-watercolor-ink\/craftangles-liquid-watercolor-15-ml-poolside-ctlwps15\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PoolSide <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hndmd.com\/index.php?route=product\/search&amp;search=CrafTangles%20liquid%20watercolor&amp;description=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Liquid watercolor<\/a>&nbsp; with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hndmd.com\/art-supplies\/mediums-and-varnishes\/craftangles-mixed-media-essentials-texture-paste-white-120-ml-ctmmtpw120\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Texture paste<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hndmd.com\/index.php?route=product\/search&amp;search=crackle%20paste&amp;description=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Crackle paste<\/a> and for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hndmd.com\/index.php?route=product\/search&amp;search=gloss%20gel&amp;description=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">gloss gel<\/a> I added <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hndmd.com\/art-supplies\/art-paints\/liquid-watercolor-ink\/craftangles-liquid-watercolor-15-ml-limelight-ctlwll15\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">limelight<\/a>. As you can see with gloss gel the colors look even more vibrant. Later I reduced the amount of color to get a bit lighter color with texture paste and crackle paste.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<b>2. Emboss resist.<\/b><br \/>This is the most popular technique used with watercolors. It\u2019s the easiest way to color images as the embossed lines act as boundaries and we don\u2019t have to worry about color going outside lines. Just drop the colors and get artsy look in no time.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Embossing_card.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"787\" data-original-width=\"800\" height=\"628\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Embossing_card.jpg\" width=\"640\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nThis card was inspired by Folk art painting. I white heat embossed flowers and leaves from Doodle Flowers Stamp set (from Janes Doodle\u2019s) fussy cut them and adhered on the card panel. I drew few additional details with white gel pens.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<b>3. Ombre effect<\/b><br \/>Ombre is gradual blending of one color hue to another. It can be achieved by diluting the color with water for lighter hues.&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Ombre_card2_2.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"634\" data-original-width=\"700\" height=\"578\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Ombre_card2_2.jpg\" width=\"640\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nFor these cards I painted two Ombre bg with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hndmd.com\/art-supplies\/art-paints\/liquid-watercolor-ink\/craftangles-liquid-watercolor-15-ml-poolside-ctlwps15\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Poolside <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hndmd.com\/art-supplies\/art-paints\/liquid-watercolor-ink\/craftangles-liquid-watercolor-15-ml-soulmate-ctlwsm15\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Soulmate<\/a>. The letter U was hand-cut from both of them and clear heat embossed to get glossy look. Can you guess what I have used for the bg? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hndmd.com\/craft-supplies\/stencils\/craftangles-6x6-stencil-raindrops-ctcs88\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Raindrops stencil<\/a> to create exclamation marks (don\u2019t tell me they look like drops \ud83d\ude09 ) ! Background strips made using Poolside and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hndmd.com\/art-supplies\/art-paints\/liquid-watercolor-ink\/craftangles-liquid-watercolor-15-ml-limelight-ctlwll15\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Limelight <\/a>liquid watercolors.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Ombre_card1.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"767\" data-original-width=\"800\" height=\"612\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Ombre_card1.jpg\" width=\"640\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\n<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">\nCan you tell how much I love the Soulmate liquid watercolor?&nbsp; I made entire card using just this color. I random brush strokes in the bg followed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hndmd.com\/index.php?route=product\/search&amp;search=gold%20embossing%20powder&amp;description=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">gold embossing<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>How do you like the techniques and cards shared today ?
