It’s Shabneez<\/a> here and today I’d like to show you a way of making toppers that you can use to create quick cards.  These are perfect if you need to make a lot of cards in one go as you can make the toppers in advance.<\/p>\n

\nI’ve used one stencil to make all the toppers for my cards and that’s the CrafTangles Christmas Elements Stencil but there are other stencils that you can use in the same way.<\/div>\n

\nSo the first thing I did was die cut the shapes I wanted to use as toppers.  I used my distress inks to dab through the stencil image and then I went around the outside of each of the toppers lightly with the ink so the topper would show up more.<\/div>\n

\nFor my first topper I used the twisted citron and mowed lawn distress inks.   I started with the lighter colour and blended the colour ending with the darker one.<\/div>\n

\nTo assemble the card I used a snow background paper to which I stuck glitter washi tape.  I added a lime green piece of card and stamped the sentiment on then added a different washi tape underneath.  After sticking it down I used foam pads to stick down my tree topper.<\/div>\n

\nNext up I used the candy cane image from the stencil and made 3 toppers the same using abandoned coral and peacock feathers distress inks.<\/div>\n

\n<\/div>\n
\nTo make up the card I used a snowflake background paper and stamped a sentiment which I stuck on.  I then added the toppers with foam pads.<\/div>\n

\nFor my final topper I used Milled Lavender and Weathered Wood distress inks through the deer image of the stencil.<\/div>\n

\nOnce again I chose a contrasting colour background paper and matted and layered other papers finishing with the stamped sentiment.<\/div>\n
