\nHello everyone, today I’m sharing another mixed media project with you. <\/div>\n
\nThis time I’ve altered a paint brush.<\/div>\n

\nI bought a cheap paint brush, it’s about 23 cm tall. <\/div>\n
\nThe first thing I did was to cover it with 2 layers of white gesso.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\nThen I choose my embellishments, like metal flowers, some brads, chipboards and <\/div>\n
\narranged them on the brush<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\nBefore gluing on the embellishments I glued on some lace and wrapped a piece of cheesecloth around the handle of the brush. I also added lightweight art stones<\/a> for more texture. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\nI covered all the pieces with gesso and let it dry overnight.<\/div>\n
\nThen I used CrafTangles art sprays<\/a> vibrant violet, bamboo brown and a bit of <\/div>\n
\ncarbon black to color the brush.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\nYou just keep adding the colors and water to the project until you are pleased with how it looks.<\/div>\n
\nBetween the color layers I used my heat tool to speed up the drying process.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nFinally I’ve added a few gems and rubbed gold and iridescent violet art waxes<\/a> to <\/div>\n
\nhighlight the embellishments. <\/div>\n

\nThis last step makes all the difference to the project.<\/div>\n
