\nJuly has brought a host of goodies from Craftangles!<\/div>\n
\nI am playing with some of them today!<\/div>\n
\nYou will see a lot of projects to inspire you in the days to come!!<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nFor my first card, I decided to follow the masking stencils technique as shown by <\/div>\n
\nJennifer Mcguire here <\/a>.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nI started out by taping my stencil to the blue card base from behind.<\/div>\n
\nThis keeps the stencil and the card in place and I then don’t have to worry about the stencil shifting.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n

<\/a><\/p>\n

\n<\/div>\n
\nI went for a tone on tone look and used Memento Blue Danube ink to create a background with the <\/div>\n
\nCraftangles Geometric Bliss stencil.<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nI then used an old left over scalloped heart mask to mask of a portion of a piece of white cardstock.<\/div>\n
\nAgain, I fixed the stencil to the card panel from behind.<\/div>\n
\nI then started colouring the card stock with Memento Dandelion ink, Tim Holtz Dried Marigold distress ink and Tim Holtz Fired Brick distress ink.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n

\n<\/div>\n
\nOnce done, I applied the negative mask to the card, and removed the masked heart.<\/div>\n

\n\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nI then lightly coloured the un stencilled heart using the same colours I used for stencilling.<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n<\/div>\n
\nOnce done, I flipped the stencil onto the panel (it was easy to do as it was still taped to the card stock from behind..hence placing it in exactly the same position on the card as before)<\/div>\n
\nI then went over the stencil with the same colours, layering them till they were quite dark.<\/div>\n

\nOnce the mask was removed, I was left with this beautifully stencilled panel.<\/div>\n

\nI trimmed it using simon Says Stamp stitched square dies and adhered it to the  blue card base that I had prepared earlier.<\/div>\n
\nI finished the card with a sentiment from the Craftangles ‘Happy Rakhi Bro’ stamp set<\/a>, a die cut sentiment from Penny Black, some black jute twine from May Arts Ribbon and <\/div>\n
\na gold bell from my stash.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nFor the second card, I have a fun process video which I hope you will enjoy.<\/div>\n

\nI used the Craftangles ‘Fish Net’<\/a>  and ‘Roses all around’<\/a> stencils along with the brand new<\/div>\n
\nCraftangles Amethyst glimmer paste.<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nI finished the card with some Craftangles emerald green sequins<\/a> and a sentiment from Stampendous.<\/div>\n
\nI just love how the rose pops!<\/div>\n

\nI used a combination of Craftangles ‘Abstract circles’ <\/a>and ‘Roses all around’ stencils,<\/a> with Tim Holtz ‘Fired brick’ distress ink. <\/div>\n
\nI finished the card with a heat embossed sentiment on the newly released Craftangles Vellum<\/a>.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n

\nFor the last card, I have used the newly released Craftangles Art Spray ‘Bamboo brown’<\/a> and the Craftangles ‘Sunburst’ stencil.<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nHere, in the process video you can see how many backgrounds you can create with just one or two sprays of ink. These Art sprays are going to prove real value for money!!!<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n

\nHere are the 5 beautiful backgrounds that I was able to create using the Craftangles Art sprays.<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n

\nAnd here is the beautiful card that came out of it!!<\/div>\n
\nI used a Winnie and Walter ‘hugs’ die cut, which I coloured using TimHoltz distress inks.<\/div>\n
\nI used a combination of sentiments from Winnie and Walter and Simon Says Stamp <\/div>\n
\nto create the greeting.<\/div>\n
\nIts a simple card, but, packs a punch, no?<\/div>\n
\nI added some highlights with white gel pen to create some interest.<\/div>\n
