{"id":365,"date":"2018-05-12T03:30:00","date_gmt":"2018-05-11T22:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/articles\/super-cute-baby-cards\/"},"modified":"2020-08-26T11:58:19","modified_gmt":"2020-08-26T06:28:19","slug":"super-cute-baby-cards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/super-cute-baby-cards\/","title":{"rendered":"Super cute baby cards!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\nHello!<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\nI have a couple of cute baby cards for you today, which I made using the newly released&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hndmd.com\/craft-supplies\/stamps\/craftangles-photopolymer-stamps-hello-baby-ctps57\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Craftangles &#8216;Hello Baby&#8217; stamp set.<\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\nThe images in this stamp set are adorable as are the sentiments.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\nI have been experimenting with creating backgrounds using masking fluid and watercolour.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\nI saw this technique on Instagram found it so much fun and so very addictive!<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\nMasking fluid is a free flowing fluid which once dry, can be used to mask an area of the paper that you want to protect from colour.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\nI&#8217;m not good at making process videos&#8230;I&#8217;m working on this skill!<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\nSo, in the mean time, here is the brilliant artist Tia Keo with a fabulous video showing how to create a background with masking fluid and watercolours.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\nhttps:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LURPj-7viLI<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\nYou can also follow her work here on Instagram.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\nhttps:\/\/www.instagram.com\/explore\/tags\/tiakeoart\/<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\nTo make the first card, I &#8230;<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n1. Created a simple panel using masking fluid and and a wash of pink watercolour.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n&nbsp;2. I then die cut the panel using Simon Says Stamp stitched dies, and adhered it to the white card base.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n3. I then stamped,&nbsp; water coloured, and fussy cut&nbsp; the adorable image., and adhered it to the panel.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n4.I then stamped the sentiment and cut it out using mft&#8217;s stitched flags dies&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\nand adhered the same to the card.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n5. I then gold embossed the &#8216;Congratulations&#8217;, die cut the panel, added the white organza ribbon and attached it to the card using 3D foam tape.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n6. I added some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hndmd.com\/embellishments\/sequins\/craftangles-sequins-cupcake-pink-ctseq06\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">craftangles sequins (cupcake pink) <\/a>to finish the card.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/baby-with-a-star-balloon.jpg\" imageanchor=\"1\" style=\"margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" data-original-height=\"1166\" data-original-width=\"864\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/baby-with-a-star-balloon.jpg\" width=\"296\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\nFor the second card, I&#8230;<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n1.Used a similar water colour panel as above, this time in teal blue.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n2. I die cut the panel using Simon Says Stamp stitched dies and adhered it to the white card base.<\/div>\n<div class=\"separator\" style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\">\n3.
