Hello again!<\/p>\n

It’s Shabneez<\/a> here and I’ve been spending a lot of time making backgrounds using a number of mediums so I thought I’d share them with you in the hope that you’ll have a go and experiment with them like I did!<\/p>\n

\nI’m going to start with the tag first as it is the quickest.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\n\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n

\n1. Cut a tag from Kraft card.
\n2. Add distress inks though a stencil.
\n3. Move the stencil and add texture paste in parts through it.
\n4. Add some gold paint spatter.
\n5. Stamp, colour and fussy cut your image and adhere to the tag.
\n6. Stamp your sentiment.
\n7. Add ribbon to embellish.<\/p>\n

Next I want to show you a background made with a mixture of texture paste and distress oxides.<\/p>\n

\n1. Use a black card base and add clouds and a sentiment.
\n2. For the middle panel on a white base I mixed texture paste with distress oxides and added through the stencil.  Leave to dry.
\n3. Add distress inks in a rainbow of colours then spritz with water.
\n4. Back the panel on to black card.<\/p>\n

For my final background I’ve used perfect pearls to give a gentle shimmer to the background and I wanted to show you a close up:<\/p>\n

\n1. To make the background I first smooshed a couple of distress inks with water and put my card on top then left to dry.<\/div>\n
\n2. I then used matt transparent texture paste and passed through a stencil.<\/div>\n
\n3. Once dry I used perfect pearls to give the sheen you can see above.<\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n

\n<\/div>\n

To make the card:
\n1. Make a card base from CrafTangles cardstock.
\n2. Die cut the background you made above and add to the cardbase.
\n3. Stamp and colour your image and die cut in a circle.
\n4. Add stamped image to card.
\n5. Heat emboss a sentiment.<\/p>\n

I hope this post has given you some inspiration to use other mediums with your crafting.  It’s a lot of fun and gives you beautiful results.<\/p>\n
