\nHello! Good Morning and Happy Dassera to all!<\/div>\n
\nToday I am playing with two of the Craftangles September release stamps sets, <\/div>\n
\n‘Diwali wishes<\/a>‘ and ‘Subh Laabh<\/a>‘. <\/div>\n
\n<\/div>\n
\nFor my first card, I decided to create a background using the mandala in the ‘Diwali wishes’<\/a> stamp set. First, I used my Misti to stamp the goddess Lakshmi image from the ‘Shubh Laabh<\/a>‘ onto smooth white card stock. I then created a mask using ‘Mudra’ masking paper and masked out the image.  I then used Tim Holtz ‘spiced marmalade’ distress oxide<\/a> to stamp the mandala background. <\/div>\n
\nI then used my Sakura Koi watercolours to colour in the background so that the mandalas would pop further.<\/div>\n
\nI intended to keep the Lakshmi image black and white, but, decided to add a bit of colour. so I decided to leave the lotuses white.<\/div>\n
\nI finished the card by adhering some self adhesive gemstones and and a sentiment from the set.<\/div>\n
\nI just love how this card turned out!<\/div>\n

\nFor the second card, I wanted a more graphic feel.<\/div>\n
\nI started by stamping the motifs from the ‘Shubh Laabh’ <\/a>stamp set, with Versafine Crimson Red ink on smooth white card stock. I then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. <\/div>\n
\nI then watercoloured the panel using Sakura Koi watercolours.<\/div>\n
\nOnce dry, I cut the panel down using Simon Says Stamp stitched squares.<\/div>\n
\nI used fun foam to pop up this panel over a sheet of Craftangles ‘Colours of India’<\/a> patterned paper.<\/div>\n
\nI used a die cut sentiment from DCAM adhered to a piece of vellum finish the card.<\/div>\n
\nI particularly love this card, as I struggled with it a bit.<\/div>\n
