Hello!<\/p>\n

This is Jasleen<\/a>, back with my guest designer post for this month. And Valentine\u2019s Day being just around the corner, I thought of sharing a few love \u2013themed card ideas using a couple of stamp sets by CrafTangles <\/a>the team sent me- one is \u2018Love is in the Air<\/a>\u2019 and another one is \u2018Always Yours<\/a>\u2019. <\/p>\n

Both of these stamp sets are sentiment-based, so I simply chose a sentiment and co-ordinated them with some free-hand watercoloured images, as shown in the first two cards below:<\/p>\n

\nAttempted some free hand water colouring
\nfor the first time. I used Gansai Tambi 
\nwater colours here. The sentiment <\/span>\u2018<\/span>you are my sunshine <\/span>\u2018<\/span> from <\/span>\u2018<\/span>Always Yours<\/span>\u2019<\/span> set  goes perfectly well with
\nthis image. <\/span><\/div>\n

\nAnd here<\/span>\u2019<\/span>s the second card with some more water colouring:-<\/span><\/div>\n

I started by lightly drawing a heart shape along the edge of a 4 by 5 inches Brustro water colour paper, using a pencil. Then I added a water colour wash using Gansai Tambi in different shades of pink, trying to confine the colours within the pencil drawing. After letting it dry, I stamped the sentiment \u2018LOVE\u2019 from \u2018Love is in the Air\u2019 set using Versamark Ink. I heat embossed it using silver embossing powder, and stamped \u2018always\u2019 in versafine onyx black ink. I mounted this panel over a standard sized card base and finished off using some sequins and a Baker\u2019s twine.<\/p>\n

This one\u2019s a clean and simple card that uses multiple sentiments from the \u2018Love is in the air\u2019 stamp set and that die cut heart is from Sizzix Bigz-Heartfelt set. The sentiments on the white card base were stamped using Memento ink-London fog, whereas the one on the black strip was heat embossed in white.<\/p>\n
