Hello! I have 3 quick and easy seasons themed cards for you today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This month the Craftangles challenge is “Seasons”.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, I have used Craftangles stencils to represent three seasons, monsoon, fall and winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had a lot of fun using Craftangles stencils for these cards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first card, I decided to depict the monsoon season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I diecut the the centre of the background using the Sunburst die. I used the uneven cloud edge on the Craftangles Nature stencil to create a cloudy rainy background and used Tim Holtz mustard seed ink to create some sunshine in the middle around the sunburst. I added the sentiment, splattered some waterdroplets and adhered the panel to another card panel,(using 3D foam tape) which was covered with Craftangles plaid patterned paper. I love how I managed to get the exact shade of yellow from the paper to the clouds. It is really a sunshiny card!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For my second card with a ‘Seasons’ theme,I decided to create a card depicting the fall season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I first created a background by ink blending Tim Holtz’s Mustard Seed distress ink. I then used Tim Holtz’s ‘Carved Pumpkin’, ‘Fired Brick’ and ‘Brushed Cordruoy’ inks and the Craftangles ‘Autumn Leaves’ stencil <\/a> to create a beautiful fall leaf background. I stamped a simple sentiment from the Craftangles ‘Hello Lovely’ stamp set<\/a> and adhered it along with a couple of die cut sprigs from Spellbinders. I added a splatter of white acrylic paint on the card to create some interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the last card I decided to create a winter season background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I ink blended the background with Tim Holtz’s ‘Broken China’ and then used the Craftangles ‘Snowflakes’ stencil<\/a> with darker shades of blue to a tone on tone snowy background.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I then added the die cut and ink blended mugs as the focal image and stamped an appropriate sentiment from a a christmas stamp set. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you notice, I have used different shades of blue and purple to stencil the background. Some lighter than others, so the result is a feeling of depth and bokeh. It was a happy accident :D.. I did not set out to create the effect!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
