Today I am sharing a step by step pictorial of creating a beautiful gift box with lots of embellishments on current month\u2019s challenge i.e. \u2018Festive Projects\u2019. We give our loved ones lots of gifts and sweets for celebrating festivals but we know that handmade gifts are way better because there is some personal touch and emotion. So, I have altered a gift box with my personal touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"here-is-the-details-step-by-step-tutorial-on-the-same-please-have-a-look\"><\/span>Here is the details step by step tutorial on the same. Please have a look:<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>STEP 1<\/strong>. I primed the entire box with white gesso and then colored the upper lid with poppy red acrylic paint and acrylic soft gel. I went for bright red colour to give my project a bit of festive look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/1st-747x768.jpg\" alt=\"mixed media\" class=\"wp-image-95681\" width=\"540\" height=\"556\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/1st-747x768.jpg 747w, https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/1st-292x300.jpg 292w, https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/1st-768x790.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/1st.jpg 1991w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 540px) 100vw, 540px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>STEP 2.<\/strong> Then I added scrapbook paper from \u2018Colors of India\u2019 6\u201d\/6\u201d paper pack. I chose two pages in contrast colors. I did some fussy cutting from second paper so that I can decorate accordingly. I covered transparent cover by red pattered paper and used big mandala cut outs on opposite corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/2nd-720x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-95682\" width=\"543\" height=\"579\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/2nd-720x768.jpg 720w, https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/2nd-281x300.jpg 281w, https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/2nd-768x820.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/2nd.jpg 1919w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 543px) 100vw, 543px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>STEP 3<\/strong>. Then I added few chipboards from my stash. First, I primed all chipboards with charcoal gesso then applied CrafTangles sapphire wax and mint coloured wax from my stash to give peacock colour on chipboards. I added big frame to cover the central paper\u2019s border and added few chipboards on border. I embossed one flower chipboard with golden tinsel embossing powder and applied in the middle of the upper lid. I used Cadence 3d golden colour paint to decorate few portions of mandalas and flowers to give a little minakari looks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/chipboard-upper-687x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-95683\" width=\"547\" height=\"612\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/chipboard-upper-687x768.jpg 687w, https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/chipboard-upper-268x300.jpg 268w, https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/chipboard-upper-768x859.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/chipboard-upper.jpg 1832w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 547px) 100vw, 547px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>STEP 4<\/strong>. I did some die cuts and used white cardstock from CrafTangles and embossed all die cuts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/dies-571x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-95684\" width=\"544\" height=\"732\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/dies-571x768.jpg 571w, https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/dies-223x300.jpg 223w, https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/dies-768x1033.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/dies.jpg 1523w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 544px) 100vw, 544px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>STEP 5<\/strong>. I painted the border of upper lid with golden acrylic paint and did some stamping with red distressed ink and on top added few flowers and pearls along with die cuts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/f3-768x748.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-95685\" width=\"547\" height=\"533\" title=\"\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/f3-768x748.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/f3-300x292.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.craftadda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/f3.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 547px) 100vw, 547px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>STEP 6<\/strong>. I took out square portion from white cardstock of CrafTangles and painted with Indian yellow acrylic paint.
