Properties
QUALITY: Water-based Gutta, pearl and opaque, is used for theSerti (closing)technique in silk
painting.
MIXABILITY OF COLOURS: No
DRYING: Air-dry in approximately 30 minutes.
SURFACES: Most silks.
DILUTION:Unnecessary
OPACITY: Opaque colours.
FINISH: Pearl.
FIXING: With an iron, on the cotton setting without steam, for 5 minutes on reverse side of the
fabric.
CARE (for decorated fabrics): 48 hours after fixing, the colours are resistant to hand and machine
washing (delicate cycle).Except for colourless Gutta, which washes out in water.
BRUSHES: Unnecessary

Product Usage:
Water-based Gutta:
Water-based Guttas have a thick consistency and are ideal for creatingbarriers. The pearlescent or glossy coloursare applieddirectly from the tube’s applicator nozzle. They readily penetrate through the fibres of the fabric, creating a barrier toSetasilk colours which are applied afterwards. Once they are set with an iron, these Guttas are wash-resistant (when following recommendations).
Colourless water-based Gutta:
For creating colourless barriers on fabric. Penetrates through the fibres of the fabric when applied, creating a barrier to the Setasilk colours which are applied afterwards. The colourless water-based Gutta isspecially formulated to wash out in water.
It can be applied with a brush, with Pébéo Gutta Minervapens or with Pébéo Gutta applicator bottles.
